Costa Rica is the Happiest Places in the World According to National Geographic..

Once again Costa Rica is featured in National Geographic Magazine as one of the happiest countries in the world.
The article, by Dan Buettner, is featured in the November 2017 issue of the famous magazine, is titled “These are the World’s Happiest Places”, and continues: What do Denmark, Costa Rica, and Singapore have in common?Their people feel secure, have a sense of purpose, and enjoy lives that minimize stress and maximize joy..

The story then takes you through the lives of three different people, each living very different realities and each “illustrating three different strands of happiness”.

The story about happiness in Costa Rica portrays Alejandro Zúñiga, “a healthy, middle-aged father who socializes at least six hours a day and has few good friends he can count on”.

Costa Rica has topped the Happy Planet Index for three years; while the World Happiness Report which is a landmark survey of the state of global happiness ranks the country as number 1 in America and number 12 in the global ranking.

In summary, Costa Rica’s happiness recipe is a combination of enjoying the moment, family bonding, universal health, education, peace, faith, equality and generosity.

“Costa Ricans enjoy the pleasure of living daily life to the fullest in a place that mitigates stress and maximizes joy”, explains the article.
